Based in Auckland, New Zealand since August 2018, Roger is a freelance illustrator, storyboard artist, graphic novelist and drawing tutor, with a vast amount of experience working with agencies, colleges and publishers in London and Paris. He has a New Zealand work visa.
Clients include Framestore, BBC, MTV, Imagination, Passion Pictures, Love Productions, Digital Arts Network, Unit 9, Koffeecup, Engine Service Design, Samsung, 2000 AD, EP Editions, SAE Institute, City Lit, University of Teesside and more.
Brands worked on include Harry Potter, Google, Heineken, Jaguar Land Rover, Gears of War, Mercedes, Converse, Dior, Dubai Airport, Finnair, Coca-Cola, Visit Britain and M&Ms among others.
Bringing a developed creative eye to proceedings, Roger is able to visualise any concept or idea demanded of him. As a storyteller his skills of characterisation, pacing and exposition are industry level and sought after by writers around the world. He is a skilful writer in his own right and, as a narrative consultant, he frequently enables clients to tell their own stories. Working with writer LF Bollée, Roger is a published author of crime comics in France (Mongo Le Magnifique and London Inferno, EP Editions).
Roger studied art and design at Norwich University of the Arts and École Supérieure d’Art et de Design d’Orléans, in France. His series of graphic novels, The Mice, have garnered critical acclaim. Click here for a review of The Mice: The Factory Menace in Starburst.
