Finding Hope: War comics about New Zealand and the Holocaust

I was commissioned by Holocaust Centre of New Zealand to create eight war comics, designed to be printed on two-metre-high banners for a travelling school exhibition. Working closely with CEO Chris Harris, the story of NZ’s involvement in the Second World War, the liberation of concentration camps and intake of jewish refugees into Aotearoa was told across eight comics.

The art was drawn on A3 Bristol board with a variety of pens and then scanned in for the sepia tone to be added in Photoshop. For further information about the exhibition and how to see it, please follow this link. The Holocaust Centre of New Zealand is based in Wellington.
