Commando comics

Pages from my recent work for DC Thomson, the British publisher of Commando comics. Commando has been published ever since 1961 and I’m honoured to have joined the ranks of its artists. 

The story is called The Claymore, by Robbie MacNiven, and will be published towards the end of 2026. The story spans several hundred years and has me drawing scenes from the Battle of Culloden, the American wars of independence, the Boer war, World War One and World War Two. It’s a challenge I enjoy. 

I’m hugely indebted to comic artist Mike Collins (Marvel, DC, 2000AD, you name it) for the introduction to DC Thomson which landed me the job.
